✦ FAQs

Most Common Questions

Is this really free?

Yes, completely. There are no fees, no hidden costs, and no obligation. The fellowship — including the financial aid consultation — is funded by IvyZen as a commitment to access. Fellows receive the same quality of consulting as our paying clients.

What does the financial aid session cover?

Fellows are paired with an independent financial aid consultant for a one-hour session. The focus is practical: understanding the FAFSA and CSS Profile, identifying merit and need-based scholarships at your target schools, and knowing how to appeal an aid package if it falls short.

My grades aren't perfect. Should I still apply?

Yes. We consider the full picture — your context, trajectory, intellectual interests, and potential.

How much time does the fellowship require?

Expect 2–4 hours per week during the summer and slightly more in September through November during peak application season.

Can my teacher nominate me directly?

Yes. If a teacher or school counselor wants to nominate a student, they can reach us at info@ivyzen.net.
